As a back-end Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will be responsible for developing high-performance RESTful services that support Groupon’s sites and mobile application. Using services oriented architecture (SOA) you will architect and build for scale, performance and reliability.

Role Summary:

As a back-end Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will be responsible for developing high-performance RESTful services that support Groupon’s sites and mobile application. Using services oriented architecture (SOA), you will architect and build for scale, performance, and reliability.
The kind of things you’ll be doing are:
Designing high-performance RESTful services

Personalizing content and promotions based on user interests
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
+7 years of experienced engineering professionals.
Highly proficient in OOP using Java.
RESTful service-oriented architectures
Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP, PERL or similar dynamic scripting language
Experience with SQL.
Bonus:

Experience with Elasticsearch
