The Role: Tech Lead – Core Banking

We are looking for an engineer to help us to create, enhance and maintain our unique core banking platform. You will be responsible for helping us build, innovate features and maintain our core banking platform. Help improve the team performance. Work closely with our product team to build the best possible solution. Contribute to our component library and style guide where you will have an impact creating something from scratch.

Skills required

Experience with Spring, Java, PHP Laravel
Experience of RESTful APIs design and use
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Experience in infraestructure (Linux, NGINX, Apache, Varnish)
Spring 2.3.4 and Kotlin
Deep knowledge of core banking systems

Responsibilities

Build and lead the core banking team
Delegate tasks and achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals.
Work with team members, management and internal clients to ensure projects are completed to standards
Identify risks and develop contingency plans as early as possible
Analyze existing operations and schedule training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements
Approve final product/code prior to release
Keep abreast of industry trends and developments.
Develop and deliver new product features
Improve engineering processes and tools to increase team effectiveness
Work across both technical and business focused teams to deliver value to our users
Review pull request of others
Deploy Beta versions for testing and work closely with QAs, make QA
Deploy final versions to production

It’s a Plus

Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or similars
2+ years of software development experience
Ability to explore and learn new technologies
Familiarity with common design patterns and core concepts of functional programming
Experience with web development is a plus (React/Angular)
Git knowledge
Previous fineract experience
Past team lead experience in fast growing enviroments
