Senior QA Automation Engineer – Hybrid Bogotá ID #00291

Location: Bogotá, Colombia (Hybrid – on-site presence required)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based test automation for Android applications. This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in end-to-end automation testing, complex UI validation, and backend/API integrations within cloud-based environments.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases through scalable, reliable, and maintainable automated test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for Android applications using Java.
• Implement automated tests for complex UI flows and full end-to-end (E2E) workflows.
• Validate UI, API, and backend integrations as part of automated E2E testing strategies.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute and monitor automated test runs across multiple environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures across environments, infrastructure, and system interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and quality standards.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, stability, and performance.

Required Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in QA Automation or Software Engineering.
• Strong experience in Java-based automation for Android applications.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as:
  • Appium
  • Espresso
  • Selenium
  • TestNG
  • JUnit
• Proven experience testing complex UI flows and end-to-end workflows.
• Experience validating UI, APIs, and backend integrations through automated E2E testing.
• Experience working with cloud-based test environments, preferably Amazon Web Services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across environments, infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Must be located in Bogotá, Colombia (hybrid model).
• Advanced English level (C1+) – strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Performance or mobile testing optimization experience.
• Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
