Sr DevOps Engineer:

Technical Competencies

• Hands-on experience in different cloud solutions providers. (AWS mandatory) (5+ years)
• Solid knowledge of Linux (RHEL and Debian based distros)
• Good understanding of the DevOps practices with a strong focus on quality.
• Has a holistic view of the SDLC.
• Knowledge of Virtualization and Container technologies.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and practices.
• Experience with container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes or ECS
• Experience using infrastructure as code tools such as terraform and cloud formation.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
• Solid scripting skills (Bash, Groovy, JavaScript, Python)
• Scope, design and make day to day technical decisions concerning architecture/infrastructure at module or feature level
• Working closely with development teams and client teams in a collaborative environment following an agile methodology
• Adhering to global development and infrastructure standards, guidelines, and principles (SDLC, etc)
• Able to assist in the definition of requirements with module or feature scope
• Be able to coach others in the best DevOps practices
• Working side-by-side with QC (Quality Control team) to help them detect/prevent defects on the product
• Demonstrating sensibility toward the present or future needs and demands of potential clients and being able to satisfy them from any organization scope
• A detail-oriented analysis, taking into account the different aspects of the problem and proper planning to come to solutions
• Avoids tech debt by favoring doing things right vs doing things fast
• Be extremely organized, manage all relevant assets in a careful fashion (Cloud assets, infrastructure as a code repository, pipelines, logs, keys, scripts, deployment procedures, etc)
